This Thursday is our last PSO meeting of the year - please join us! It will begin at 9:30 am in the Media Center. The Middle School will also be providing a brunch at that time in appreciation of all of our volunteers. Hope to see many of you there!
VOLUNTEERS: PLEASE REPORT YOUR HOURS
Thank you to all the parents and families who have volunteered this year to enhance our student's experience at the Middle School! It truly takes a village and we appreciate ALL OF YOU who make up that village! We will be reporting to the School Board a count of volunteer hours so they can appreciate the collective efforts of our families too! Please take a minute to email our Recording Secretary, Ellen Kramer, at firstname.lastname@example.org with the number of hours you spent helping a committee or any time spent volunteering on behalf of our students. Please submit by Monday, May 20th.
We are in need of volunteers for the last day of school. Please sign up here to help monitor the student lines for the food trucks on the last day of school. The trucks scheduled to be at the Middle School are: Barrio, Swensens, Jackpot Chicken, Snowie Bus/Kettle Corn, Firetruck Pizza and Jones Bones BBQ. The trucks will be open to the public beginning at 11:30. The trucks usually stay until they either run out of food or customers.
Middle School Language Arts Teacher Denise Piechowiak is looking for just a few more volunteers in May to assist students during EI. During this time, students have the opportunity for small group help, independent study, review and homework. Ms. Piechowiak is looking for volunteers to assist students with review games, practicing presentations, reading with kids or to help with Achieve articles. She will provide instructions to volunteers. If you are able to help, please sign up!! Thank you to everyone who has helped out this year!! She really appreciates it!!
The BBH Schools Foundation is very excited to announce a new event initiative for this spring. On June 1st 2019 they will hold their first Uphill Downhill Run. This event is a fun, family-friendly run/walk dedicated to raising awareness around mental health and its importance to our students. All funds raised by this event will go directly towards the BBHCSD mental health action plan. The event is being planned as a partnership between the Schools Foundation, the BBHCSD, and the hard work of several enterprising BBH high school students who want to make a difference in our community.
