Please join us this Thursday, January 10th at 9:30am for our next PSO meeting. Mr. Rings will be providing an update on the closing of Central and moving 5th grade to the Middle School next year. We will also be discussing our fundraising project to renovate the Middle School auditorium which will be 50 years old in 2020. Click here for more details. Additionally, the school guidance counselors are looking for donations of $5 - $10 gift cards to be raffled off to students as part of their PBIS reward program. Ideally there will be 5 gift cards per grade. Please send any donations to the attention of Claire Gonter in the MS office. Thank you in advance!

Sip and Support Our Scholars 2019 - Tickets On Sale!
Please join the BBH Schools Foundation for our annual fundraiser, Sip and Support Our Scholars 2019. Held Thursday, February 21st 2019 from 7-10pm at the New Orleans Party Center in Brecksville, the night will feature wine and craft beer tasting, foods from local restaurants, fun games and prizes, and more! All proceeds will go towards this year's classroom grant program. New this year: ticket price is only $40 per person and includes a commemorative glass and 2 drink tickets. Middle School ELA teacher, Ms. Piechowiak, is still looking for volunteers to help students during their EI period. Volunteers would help students with homework, review work, presentations, reading and Achieve articles. Its only a half hour of time.

BBH Custom License Plates Now Available
Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District was one of three public school districts in the state of Ohio that was approved to sell specialty plates to benefit the social-emotional well being of its students. The new Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools logo license plates are now available to purchase. There is an additional cost of $40, and the school district will receive $30 back from the sale of each BBH logo license plate. Wednesday, January 23, 2019, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., the District will hold an important Alert, Lockdown,
Inform, Counter, Evacuate (A.L.I.C.E.) parent information night in the High School auditorium. The program is designed to help prepare parents for the anticipated student training in the spring and is part of the District's overall commitment to regularly reviewing and strengthening its safety and security protocols.
On January 24th, Speaker, Dr. Amy Young will speak on the topic of bullying in her presentation "How to Identify, Stop and Prevent Bullying" at 6:30pm, in the MS Auditorium. Please join us!
On Wednesday, February 13th, the District will be screening the documentary film, Angst: It Gets Better, at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Auditorium. Designed to raise awareness around the issue of anxiety, this engaging and informative film features interviews with kids, teens, educators and mental health experts to help parents and children alike identify the symptoms of anxiety and seek help. An interactive discussion will follow the film screening. Please consider joining us on Wednesday, February 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Auditorium to learn more about this important mental health issue.

To sign up for this reward program, please follow these steps:
1. Go to www.heinensrewards.com
2. Simply log into your Heinen's Tasteful Rewards profile page by entering your email address and password.
3. Select "My Profile" in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
4. Select a school from the pull-down list at the bottom of your profile page, and then click the "Save Changes" link.
5. Use your Heinen's Preferred Card each time you shop to earn money for your local school. Donations are based on purchases made between September and April.
6. You are required to select (or re-select) a school each school year to receive the annual donation. Only one school can be selected per household.

Please send in your Box Tops in a ziplock bag marked for the Special Education Department. All proceeds collected from Box Tops benefits the Special Education Department.
